It is my pleasure to welcome you to The Chatmore British International School – Tomorrow’s School, Today!
Established in 2012, through the expansion of The Chatterbox Preschool (est.2004) our small, Bermuda-based, private school is committed to nurturing student’s individual strengths and creativity, developing effective problem-solvers and encouraging our teachers, students, families and community partners to remain innovative, inquisitive and future-focused.
As a Family First School™, we are vigilant in our efforts to focus on family as the “first teacher” and therefore make family involvement a priority in our transformative learning environment.
At CBIS student learning is at the core of everything we do and we aspire to be genuinely international in our approach to education.
CBIS currently provides an education for students aged 18 months to 16 years old. It prides itself on offering an education that develops a student’s natural strengths while simultaneously impacting intellectual, physical, creative and social character.
Through our eight personal learning goals: enquiry, resilience, morality, communication, thoughtfulness, cooperation, respect and adaptability, we recognise that each child is unique and that in order to provide them with the very best education, we need to nurture their strengths and maintain a student centred approach.
We challenge each student to strive for personal and corporate excellence in all that they do, so that they are well prepared for the challenges of tomorrow’s world - today.
Our Vision is: To cultivate and nurture a nation of learners who are global thinkers, investigators, explorers, innovators and inventors.
As part of our ethos we create time for students’ questions to be explored and as learning coaches we use ‘deliberate practice’ – the intentional facilitation of transformative learning opportunities designed to prepare students for success in a variety of intercultural settings.
Our educational programmes, in the form of the International Early Years, International Primary, International Middle Years and British National Curriculum, represent some of the very best available worldwide and provide an authentically international perspective.
No. We are not your traditional school. We believe that our students are more than simply grades and test scores. We make it a priority to get to know our students while facilitating high-standard learning every day.
We believe that family comes first. We know that learning is an ongoing and ever-changing process and our “personal touch” and close communication with our families has been proven to transform the learning experience for everyone!
Our students acquire an independent and critical approach to learning, and are provided with a wide range of opportunities to develop their own personal interests. Students are encouraged to learn about other cultures, as well as their own.
The school is managed by an active and future thinking International Board. In addition, the Parents Association organise and support a number of events during the year and raise funds to help the school.
As we move toward our vision and create the transformative learning culture that we know is required for current and future sustainability, we encourage you to keep an eye on our progress. If you would like to know more or would like to visit our school, please feel free to contact our Administrator at email@example.com and someone will be happy to assist you.
Enjoy your exploration of our website!
